men’s health
Erectile dysfunction (ED) is one of the most common men’s health problems in the UK and globally. Statistics show that well over half of men state that they experience this condition (58.2%). A quarter experience it during more than half of all their sexual encounters (27.3%). Peyronie’s disease is a lesser-known condition more commonly known as bent penis.
discretion
When you register with our practice, which can be done over the telephone or online, you will not be asked what your condition is or why you need to see us. This is not discussed until you are in clinic at your physical assessment. You will be treated with compassion and will have the opportunity to talk about how your problems may have also affected your mental health and relationships. In addition, because we treat a wide range of problems, you will not need to endure feelings of embarrassment or anxiety in our waiting room. No one else will know why you are there.

about this service
conditions treated include:
Erectile dysfunction:
Most men occasionally fail to get or keep an erection. This is usually caused by
stress, tiredness, anxiety or drinking too much alcohol, and is nothing to worry about.
If it happens more often, it may be caused by physical health or emotional problems.
Peyronies disease:
Peyronies disease is when you have a curved or bent penis. It is caused by scar
tissue forming along the shaft of the penis. This causes painful erections and a bend
or curve, usually about halfway along the penis. The change in shape is usually only
obvious when the penis is erect.
It occurs in approximately 1 in 20 men and most often affects middle-aged men, but it can also occur in teenage boys.
Focussed extracorporeal shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment aimed at reducing or eliminating the pain and sexual dysfunction associated with both conditions above.
