TPI is the world’s leading educational organisation dedicated to the study of how the human body functions in relation to the golf swing.
Since it’s inception in 2003, TPI has studied thousands of golfers ranging from the top professional Tour players to weekend enthusiasts. An incredible amount of data on players of all shapes, sizes, ages and fitness levels has been gathered during this time. Using this data, TPI discovered how a properly functioning body allows a player to swing a golf club in the most efficient way possible. Additionally, TPI has analysed how physical limitations in a player’s body can adversely affect the golf swing and potentially lead to injury.
TPI Screening Explained
A series of tests are carried out to assess your mobility, stability and control, for golf specific movements.
A points system related to these tests will give you a score indicating areas of weakness that may impact upon your swing. These weaknesses are then worked on through a series of corrective exercises which will be set for you after your assessment. Educating golfers on the body swing connection in this way helps to improve swing technique and inevitably your game and your enjoyment of the game.
It’s about learning to move well.
